Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Procedural Systems Engineer with strong 3D Godot experience to design and implement deterministic procedural generation systems that power our game worlds. This role focuses on procedural geometry, spatial reasoning, traversal systems, and encoding level design patterns into scalable, data-driven generation pipelines.

You will work at the core of world-building technology, enabling replayable, performant, and high-quality environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement procedural geometry systems for terrain, structures, caves, and modular environments using Godot.
• Develop deterministic, seed-based world generation pipelines ensuring reproducibility and stability.
• Build grid-based representations and traversal logic supporting multi-layer navigation and verticality.
• Implement and maintain runtime navmesh generation and AI traversal systems for procedurally created levels.
• Encode level design patterns such as combat arenas, choke points, pacing zones, and player flow into generation rules.
• Create spatial validation systems to prevent overlaps, unreachable areas, and broken layouts.
• Optimize generation performance for large-scale worlds using chunking, streaming, and spatial partitioning.
• Build debugging tools and visualizers to inspect generation output.
• Collaborate closely with designers, AI engineers, and artists to integrate procedural tools into production pipelines.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Godot Engine (GDScript or C#).
• Solid understanding of procedural geometry and spatial reasoning.
• Experience implementing grid-based systems, navmesh, and traversal logic.
• Knowledge of deterministic systems and seeded randomness.
• Understanding of level design fundamentals (combat spaces, flow, choke points).
