Description
We are looking for a Back End Developer to join a financial services team in Baytown, Texas. In this role, you will help build and support reliable web-based solutions that contribute to secure, efficient business operations. The position suits someone who can collaborate across technical teams while delivering clean, maintainable code in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain server-side applications that support core business functions within a financial services environment.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Write efficient, well-structured code and contribute to ongoing improvements in application performance and reliability.
Support integration efforts between web interfaces and backend services to ensure smooth data flow across systems.
Troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes to maintain application stability.
Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and deployment preparation to uphold development standards.
Document technical designs, development updates, and support procedures for shared team use.
Contribute to system enhancements and technical updates as business and platform needs evolve.
Requirements
Experience in software development with a focus on backend or full-stack application delivery.
Working knowledge of JavaScript and the ability to apply it effectively in web development projects.
Familiarity with React.js, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks when supporting integrated application development.
Understanding of application architecture, API connectivity, and data exchange between frontend and backend components.
Ability to debug issues, optimize code quality, and work within established development practices.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in regulated or detail-oriented environments such as financial services is preferred.
