Level 3 Java Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced L3 Java Developer with 5–6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level Java applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development skills, experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs, and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications and backend services.
• Develop robust and secure applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and architectural standards.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Participate in production deployments, incident management, and application support.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the development team.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

Required Technical Skills

• 5–6 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, OOP, Collections, Multithreading, and Exception Handling.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and REST APIs.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of Git and version control.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
• Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.
• Knowledge of system design and distributed systems.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–6 years of relevant Java development experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle production-critical issues, and take ownership of technical deliverables.
