Level 4 Java Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced L4 Java Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, system design, cloud technologies, and production support, along with the ability to provide technical leadership to development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Drive technical design discussions and contribute to application architecture decisions.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding, security, and architectural standards.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Identify and implement solutions to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, business analysts, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Lead technical implementation across multiple development initiatives.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions.
• Support production releases, incident management, and application monitoring.
• Establish and promote best practices for development, testing, deployment, and operational support.

Required Technical Skills

• 7–10 years of professional Java development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and Java 8+ features.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
• Extensive experience designing and developing Microservices architecture.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with secure API development, OAuth2, JWT, and application security.
• Exposure to DevOps and infrastructure-as-code practices such as Terraform is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant Java development experience.
• Proven experience working on enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
• Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
