Duration: 12 Months Position OverviewAn experienced QA Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure software quality across multiple environments.
The role involves creating automated test scenarios, defining execution plans, and ensuring test coverage aligns with business and functional requirements. The engineer will also prepare documentation for automated testing processes and support overall quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
The QA Automation Analyst will develop and maintain both manual and automated test cases, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure proper validation of requirements through stakeholder walkthroughs.
This role also includes defect tracking, test reporting, and collaboration with development and business teams in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts
- Create and execute test plans and test cases
- Define test scenarios and execution strategies
- Prepare and maintain UAT test cases aligned with requirements
- Conduct requirement walkthroughs with stakeholders
- Track test execution and generate test reports
- Log, categorize, and manage defects using tracking tools
- Maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTM)
- Support development and testing teams across dev, test, and UAT environments
- Troubleshoot and assist in defect resolution
- Ensure test coverage across multiple testing types (functional, regression, integration, system, performance, stress, smoke, UAT)
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards where applicable
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint delivery
Required Skills & Experience- Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans
- Strong understanding of SDLC and software testing lifecycle
- Experience with test case management tools (Xray or equivalent)
- Experience with Jira or similar defect tracking tools
- Strong SQL skills (CRUD operations, queries, validation)
- Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, or JMeter
- Experience in test automation using UFT or similar tools
- Experience with requirements traceability and usability testing concepts
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts preferred
- Experience ensuring accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA or equivalent)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in Agile team environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
