Description
We are looking for a dependable Tier I Helpdesk specialist to provide day-to-day technical support for students and school staff. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys resolving technology issues, delivering strong customer service, and supporting a fast-paced educational environment. The person in this role will handle a wide range of hardware, software, and connectivity needs while helping maintain consistent IT operations across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
Deliver first- and second-level technical assistance for end users, addressing issues related to computers, mobile devices, classroom technology, and network access.
Diagnose and resolve problems involving Windows systems, iOS devices, ChromeOS equipment, software applications, and peripheral hardware.
Set up, install, configure, and update workstations, devices, and software to ensure reliable performance and user readiness.
Monitor and manage service desk requests, establish priorities based on urgency, and document resolutions for future reference.
Support user and device administration tasks within Active Directory, Google Admin Console, and other endpoint management tools.
Track technology assets, including equipment inventory, software licensing, and warranty status, to support operational planning and replacement needs.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation, user guidance, and standard support procedures to improve response consistency.
Travel between school sites as needed to provide on-site support, equipment deployment, and issue resolution.
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in help desk, desktop support, or a similar IT support role.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, general Microsoft Windows environments, and basic troubleshooting practices.
Experience handling service desk tickets and managing multiple support requests in an organized manner.
Familiarity with Active Directory and user support in managed device environments.
Ability to support and troubleshoot desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and common software issues.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills with the ability to assist a diverse user base.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between locations.
Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
