Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP ECC, SD, Payment Card Processing, SAP Gateway/OData, and REST/JSON integrations.

The ideal candidate will lead the SAP-side development of an integration between SAP ECC and Stripe, enabling customer-service users to securely process card payments against sales orders without cardholder data entering SAP. The role will focus on sales order enhancements, SD payment card functionality, SAP Gateway services, and outbound REST integrations through MuleSoft.

The candidate should be comfortable working from an existing technical design and reference code, validating release-specific functionality in a sandbox, and collaborating closely with SD functional, UI5/Fiori, and MuleSoft developers through testing and go-live.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement SAP sales order enhancements using SAPMV45A, customer subscreens, PBO/PAI modules, MV45AFZZ user exits, and BAdIs.
• Develop SD payment card clearing-house functionality for authorization, settlement, re-authorization, cancellation, and partial capture.
• Build outbound REST/JSON integrations between SAP and Stripe through MuleSoft.
• Implement secure API authentication using OAuth 2.0, HTTP destinations, SSL, and JSON serialization.
• Develop and register SAP Gateway/OData services using SEGW, DPC_EXT, authorization objects, and CSRF handling.
• Design and develop custom tables, data elements, configuration views, message and exception classes, and authorization roles.
• Work with the SD functional consultant on payment card configuration, authorization, settlement, account determination, copy control, and related processes.
• Support Fiori/UI5 integration, Launchpad configuration, semantic objects, target mappings, and SAP GUI integration where required.
• Validate release-specific functionality in the sandbox and adapt reference code accordingly.
• Own SAP-side unit and integration testing covering approvals, declines, re-authorization, partial capture, cancellation, and webhook scenarios.
• Prepare technical documentation, transport plans, and support deployment and go-live activities.
• Follow secure coding practices aligned with PCI DSS requirements, ensuring no sensitive cardholder data is stored or exposed in SAP logs, traces, or dumps.
   

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience on SAP ECC 6.0, preferably EHP 6–8 and NetWeaver 7.40/7.50.
• Strong expertise in ABAP Objects, modern ABAP syntax, inline declarations, string templates, and exception classes.
• Deep SAP SD development experience, including sales orders, deliveries, billing, pricing, output determination, copy control, user exits, and BAdIs.
• Strong understanding of SD payment card processing, including FPLA/FPLTC, card types, checking groups, authorization, settlement, clearing-house function modules, and FCC1.
• Proven experience developing REST/JSON integrations from ABAP using CL_HTTP_CLIENT, SM59, STRUST/SSL, OAuth 2.0, and JSON serialization.
• Strong SAP Gateway/OData development experience, including SEGW, DPC/MPC extensions, CSRF, service registration, and authorization.
• Experience with SAP GUI screen programming, Screen Painter, subscreens, PBO/PAI, and GUI controls.
• Strong understanding of resilient integration patterns including idempotency, retries, structured error handling, and secure logging.
• Ability to work effectively with functional consultants, UI5 developers, MuleSoft developers, and business stakeholders.
