Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. .NET Developer to join our SBS technology team, focused on building and enhancing scalable, cloud-native applications that support payroll, HR, and workforce management solutions for small businesses. This role plays a key part in modernizing legacy systems and delivering high-performance, secure, and user-centric applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET 6-8 / ASP.NET Core
Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices in a cloud-based architecture (AWS preferred)
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Contribute to modernization efforts, including migrating legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET Core
Write clean, scalable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards
Optimize application performance, reliability, and security
Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline improvements, and DevOps practices
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in C# and .NET 6-8
Experience building web applications and APIs using ASP.NET Core
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns
Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
Familiarity with AWS cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage, etc.)
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Knowledge of front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Blazor)
Exposure to event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Service Bus)
Experience with authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect)
Familiarity with payroll, HR, or financial systems is a plus
