Fire Alarm Service Technician - TEKsystems About the RoleTEKsystems is seeking a motivated Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our service team. This is not an installation role-we are looking for a dependable self-starter with strong customer-service skills who enjoys troubleshooting, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm systems. This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to grow their technical skills while working in the life-safety industry.
Key Responsibilities- Program, test, inspect, and service fire alarm systems in various facility types.
- Perform on-site verification of fire alarm installations to ensure compliance and system integrity.
- Read, interpret, and work from fire alarm drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document fire alarm deficiencies.
- Interact professionally with customers and represent TEKsystems in a customer-facing environment.
Required Skills- Experience with Cat5 and Cat6 cabling
- Fire alarm service or troubleshooting experience (entry-level candidates welcome)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Additional Qualifications- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general computer literacy.
- Ability to work in harsh environments, including varying weather, dusty areas, and active construction sites.
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders as needed.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between customer sites daily.
- Previous trade school experience and looking to grow in a new career
- Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
