As a Cost Engineer, this role will be pivotal in driving the cost efficiency and financial optimization of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment where innovation and creativity are encouraged. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement cost-effective solutions for manufacturing processes by analyzing production costs, material costs, labor costs, and overhead costs.
2. Conduct regular cost analysis on the manufacturing processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
3. Collaborate with the manufacturing, procurement, and finance teams to develop accurate cost estimates for new and existing products.
4. Prepare and present cost reports to management, detailing cost breakdowns, cost forecasts, and cost-saving opportunities.
5. Participate in the budgeting process, providing input on cost-related matters and assisting in the setting of financial targets.
6. Evaluate and compare suppliers and vendors for cost-effectiveness and quality.
7. Assist in the quotation process by providing accurate cost estimates, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
8. Keep abreast of industry trends and developments to ensure our manufacturing processes remain cost-effective and competitive.
9. Use cost engineering software and tools to optimize cost estimation and analysis processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cost engineering role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in quoting, manufacturing, material estimating, and cost analysis.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and produce useful cost insights.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present cost reports and findings to management.
6. Proficiency in cost engineering software and tools.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost issues and develop effective solutions.
8. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting.
9. Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various departments.
10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation and analysis.
11. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes.
