Summary

Job Title: Network Senior Engineer / Team Lead

Location- Remote

Role Summary:

The Network Senior Engineer / Team Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise network infrastructure while leading a team of network engineers. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of network systems and drives continuous improvements in network operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud network infrastructure
  • Lead network projects including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations
  • Manage and mentor a team of network engineers/administrators
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues (L2/L3, routing, switching, firewalls)
  • Implement and manage network security controls (VPNs, firewalls, NAC)
  • Ensure high availability through redundancy, failover, and DR strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, systems, cloud, vendors)
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and SOPs
  • Enforce best practices, standards, and compliance requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols like BGP, OSPF)
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent
  • Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible)
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, load balancing, and zero-trust networking
  • Experience in large enterprise or service provider environments

Key Metrics / KPIs:

  • Network uptime and availability (SLA adherence)
  • Incident resolution time (MTTR)
  • Network performance (latency, throughput)
  • Successful project delivery timelines
  • Security incident reduction

Work Environment:

  • May require on-call support and handling critical incidents
  • Fast-paced environment with high availability expectations
  • Collaboration across infrastructure, security, and cloud teams
