Overview:
Location: Hybrid in Albany, NY
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000

We are seeking a PeopleSoft Business Analyst who will support our client with the replacement of an enterprise report distribution and scheduling platform with a modern, scalable solution. This role will focus on requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and testing support to help improve reporting operations, system integration, and overall business efficiency. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of PeopleSoft and demonstrated expertise in Business Analysis based on the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK).

Duties:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document current processes, pain points, and future business needs
Assess existing report distribution and scheduling workflows and identify dependencies across business units
Analyze current-state processes and recommend optimized future-state workflows
Create business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories
Facilitate workshops and meetings to align business and technical teams
Support vendor evaluation and selection activities for the replacement solution
Assist with the development of test cases and validate functionality during implementation
Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvement during migration
Support solution planning to ensure integration with existing systems
Help ensure business requirements align with security and regulatory standards

Mandatory Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or combination of experience and education
6+ years of experience in business analysis in at least 5 of the following knowledge areas as defined by the BABOK Guide: business analysis planning and monitoring, elicitation and collaboration, requirements life cycle management, strategy analysis, requirements analysis and design definition, and solution evaluation
6+ years of experience reading and creating SQL
6+ years of experience working with PeopleSoft architecture and table structures
4+ years of experience performing business analysis in a PeopleSoft module
4+ years of experience facilitating requirements and design sessions with end user communities

Desirable Qualifications:

PMP or CPAB Certification highly preferred
