Overview:
- Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to design, build, and manage the organization s enterprise data and reporting environment utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Power Automate. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a growing, PE-backed, family-run company that values innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
- You ll play a critical role in shaping the company s analytics ecosystem, driving automation, and supporting leadership with timely, accurate insights across sales, operations, and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect the company s end-to-end data and reporting environmentin Microsoft Fabric, including data modeling, governance, and security.
- Develop scalable ETL processesusing Gen2 Dataflows and pipelines, creating Lakehouse and Data Warehouse structures that support analytical needs across departments.
- Lead and execute data migration effortsfrom legacy ERP systems (iRely) to modern platforms, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Design and deliver interactive Power BI and paginated reports, leveraging advanced DAXand M code to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Develop automated workflowsin Power Automate to streamline manual reporting and business processes.
- Implement and manage data and report securitywithin Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including role-based permissions and access controls.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align analytics solutions with business objectives.
- Partner in the upcoming Salesforce implementation, integrating new data sources into the analytics framework.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or Data Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Dataflows Gen2, Power Automate, and Data Lakehouse architectures.
- Proficiency in ETL design, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M code).
- Experience with automated and RPA workflows(Power Automate required).
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver automated, scalable reporting.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and access managementin Microsoft Fabric/Power BI.
- Prior experience supporting ERP systems (iRely preferred)and exposure to Salesforce integration is a plus.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and non-technical users.
