Business Analyst
Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager in the planning, execution, coordination, and delivery of a large-scale enterprise technology replacement project. This role will focus on ensuring business requirements are effectively captured, analyzed, documented, and translated into successful technology solutions that support business objectives and enable a smooth transition.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, IT systems, and technology-driven solutions, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The selected individual must be comfortable collaborating with business users, technical teams, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify needs, define solutions, and drive project success.
The candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative project team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will serve as a key contributor in analyzing business operations, evaluating existing systems, and supporting the development of innovative solutions. The individual will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, defining project scope, analyzing workflows, and ensuring alignment between business strategies and technology initiatives.
The Business Analyst will collaborate with departmental leaders, executives, project teams, and technical stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, optimize business processes, and support successful implementation of enterprise solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze business needs, operational processes, and existing technology systems to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
- Develop business process models, workflow diagrams, and documentation representing current-state and future-state processes.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable solutions.
- Define project scope, objectives, and requirements while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Design and recommend process improvements and technology solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Communicate, review, and validate requirements with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
- Create workflow charts, system diagrams, and process documentation to support solution development.
- Analyze system capabilities and provide recommendations for enhancements or modifications.
- Convert product roadmap features and business objectives into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with IT teams, development teams, and business departments to implement solutions effectively.
- Serve as a liaison between business units, IT teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Present analysis findings, recommendations, and project updates to the Project Manager, executives, and stakeholders.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), validation activities, and implementation support.
- Assist with project management activities including tracking deliverables, coordinating meetings, and supporting project documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise technology initiatives or system replacement projects.
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and technical solutions.
- Experience creating process flows, workflow diagrams, user stories, and business documentation.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, project managers, and executives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise application implementations or technology modernization initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, testing processes, and system implementation lifecycles.
