Summary

Substation/Utility Project Manager
Contract Length: 14 months
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois
Work Setup: Hybrid (40 hours/week; on-site TuesdayThursday)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex infrastructure and construction-related initiatives. The Project Manager will lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Substation Project Manager Responsibilities

Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate daily project activities to ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor project progress, identify risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
Communicate project updates, milestones, and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking to ensure projects stay within budget.
Ensure projects are delivered on schedule while meeting established quality and safety standards.
Facilitate project meetings, drive decision-making, and maintain alignment across project teams.
Maintain project documentation including schedules, reports, status updates, and deliverables.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Support continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices.

Project Manager Mid Required Qualifications

510 years of Project Management experience leading complex initiatives.
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience managing project scope, schedule, resources, and financial performance.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using project management software and Microsoft Office tools.

Project Manager Mid Preferred Qualifications

Experience in construction management, substation construction projects, or electrical infrastructure environments.
Background working with utility or electrical construction projects.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across engineering, construction, and operations teams.
PMP Preffered
