Summary

Substation/Utility Project Manager
Contract Length: 14 months
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois
Work Setup: Hybrid (40 hours/week; on-site TuesdayThursday)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex infrastructure and construction-related initiatives. The Project Manager will lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Substation Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate daily project activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule while meeting established quality and safety standards.
  • Facilitate project meetings, drive decision-making, and maintain alignment across project teams.
  • Maintain project documentation including schedules, reports, status updates, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Support continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices.
Project Manager Mid Required Qualifications
  • 510 years of Project Management experience leading complex initiatives.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience managing project scope, schedule, resources, and financial performance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using project management software and Microsoft Office tools.
Project Manager Mid Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in construction management, substation construction projects, or electrical infrastructure environments.
  • Background working with utility or electrical construction projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across engineering, construction, and operations teams.
    PMP Preffered
