IT Governance Analyst 2 (Hybrid)
Primary Location: Richmond, Virginia

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an IT Governance Analyst 2 for our premier client in Richmond, Virginia.

Education and Experience

3-5 years of dedicated data governance experience with demonstrated, hands-on proficiency in all four of the following areas: (1) metadata curation and management, (2) developing end-to-end data lineage diagrams, (3) building and maintaining business glossaries, and (4) authoring data quality rules and validation checks; experience with a metadata management or data catalog platform (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Alation, Collibra) required.
Experience with SQL and an understanding of data and systems'' infrastructures.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude to get things done.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK); familiarity with data governance roles and responsibilities within a government or enterprise context.
The selected candidate must continually meet requirements of the Conflict-of-Interest Act, pass a fingerprint background check, and also sign and adhere to the Confidentiality Statement at the end of this document.

Desired:

Azure and/or Data certifications; experience in a big-data environment or data security.
Experience with data quality profiling tools or platforms (e.g., Collibra DQ, Informatica Data Quality, Alation); familiarity with data quality dimensions (completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness).
Previous experience with Power Platforms is preferred.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining end-to-end data lineage diagrams that trace data from source systems through transformation and consumption.
Maintaining and administering the clients Business Glossary.
Supporting the identification, implementation and consumption of metadata and data modelling tooling.
Supporting and contributing to the creation and maintenance of data models.
Authoring data quality rules, thresholds, and validation checks against critical data elements.
