IT Governance Analyst II

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and administer the organization s Business Glossary and data catalog.
• Support the implementation and usage of metadata and data modeling tools.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end data lineage diagrams across systems and transformations.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of data models.
• Define, document, and implement data quality rules, thresholds, and validation checks.
• Build and maintain data taxonomy, data dictionary, and business glossaries.
• Onboard domain data sources into the data catalog.
• Collaborate with business analysts and solution designers to identify and document critical data elements.
• Maintain metadata artifacts, identify gaps, and resolve inconsistencies.
• Perform metadata and data quality audits and report findings.
• Respond to stakeholder queries and troubleshoot metadata-related issues.
• Document and maintain data classification and sensitivity standards.
• Utilize Power Platform tools to automate workflows and processes.
• Track tasks and progress using tools such as JIRA.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and support mitigation efforts.
• Support emergency operations as required by leadership directives.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 5 years of hands-on experience in data governance.
• Proven expertise in metadata management, data lineage, business glossaries, and data quality rule creation.
• Experience with data catalog or metadata platforms (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Collibra, Alation).
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data systems and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to comply with background checks and confidentiality requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure and/or data-related certifications.
• Experience in big data or data security environments.
• Familiarity with data quality tools (e.g., Collibra DQ, Informatica Data Quality, Alation).
• Understanding of data quality dimensions such as completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools.
