Description:

We are seeking multiple Senior Network Security Consultants with strong Fortinet expertise to support a large-scale enterprise firewall remediation and network security initiative. This is a fast-paced, delivery-focused engagement involving firewall policy remediation, security rule optimization, and support for ongoing network migration activities within a complex enterprise environment.

Consultants will work across multiple remediation workstreams focused on improving firewall security posture, tightening access controls, and supporting critical infrastructure transition efforts within aggressive project timelines. Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting enterprise firewall environments
• Strong experience composing, editing, and optimizing security rules within Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues related to firewall rulesets and policy configurations
• Experience remediating firewall audit findings and improving overall security compliance
• Ability to convert legacy or non-secure protocols into secure alternatives and update firewall policies accordingly
• Strong understanding of least-privilege access methodologies and ability to translate business requirements into secure firewall rules
• Solid understanding of NAT/PAT concepts and their relationship to firewall policy rules
• Hands-on experience working within FortiManager
• Ability to interpret and analyze FortiAnalyzer reports to assess rule utilization, object usage, and policy effectiveness
• Strong understanding of VDOM and VRF concepts, including the ability to provide design and implementation guidance
• Experience supporting large enterprise rulesets and high-volume firewall environments
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver within aggressive project timelines Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with ServiceNow ticketing processes, including ticket creation and updates
• Working knowledge of Juniper firewalls
• Familiarity with Juniper SD-Cloud environments
• Prior experience supporting enterprise network migration or VLAN migration initiatives Responsibilities
• Perform firewall rule remediation and policy optimization activities across multiple workstreams
• Review, update, and tighten firewall rulesets to align with security best practices and compliance requirements
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and policy-related issues
• Support enterprise VLAN migration efforts through secure firewall rule creation and modification
• Analyze firewall utilization and reporting data to improve operational efficiency and security posture
• Provide recommendations on network segmentation, VDOM, and VRF design strategies
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and security teams to support project deliverables and remediation deadlines
• Maintain accurate documentation and update operational ticketing systems as needed Project Details
