Position Summary
The
IT Product Administrator supports the day-to-day activities associated with the coordination, communication, maintenance, and enhancement of technology products that align with business needs. This role participates in requirements gathering, technical discussions, process improvement initiatives, and product support activities. The IT Product Administrator works closely with stakeholders to define product requirements, support product operations, track user requests, and contribute to product success through effective communication, documentation, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Support product-related activities, including coordination, communication, and administration.
- Participate in requirements gathering, technical analysis, and design discussions to understand business and user needs.
- Assist in defining product objectives, requirements, features, and success metrics.
- Support product strategy execution and research industry trends and competitive solutions.
- Assess, prioritize, and respond to end-user requests related to products and services.
- Identify, document, recommend, and communicate potential solutions to product-related issues.
- Log, track, analyze, and report on support requests and product feedback.
- Escalate complex issues through established processes when necessary.
- Resolve inquiries related to product functionality, workflows, and operational processes.
- Provide guidance and best practices to users regarding product usage and issue resolution.
- Develop, maintain, and update internal documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and task automation efforts.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and product updates to stakeholders and small groups.
- Maintain service level commitments and support standards to ensure a positive user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to incorporating security best practices into daily work and decision making.
- 3+ years of experience in a Product Administrator, Product Support, Product Operations, Application Support, or similar role.
- Experience with collaboration and work management tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
- Experience evaluating and responding to product or service support requests.
- Proven ability to identify, recommend, and communicate solutions to end users.
- Experience tracking, managing, analyzing, and reporting support requests.
- Knowledge of escalation procedures and issue management practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve functional and workflow-related product issues.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to resolve simple to moderately complex problems independently.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical and operational documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated learning agility and interest in emerging technologies, including AI-related capabilities and industry trends.
- Familiarity with software development processes, application lifecycle management, and technical environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with software development, DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and application support environments.
- Experience performing application administration and configuration activities.
- Experience presenting information to larger audiences and stakeholder groups.
- Experience supporting large-scale or moderately complex products, systems, or initiatives.
