Summary

Job Description

The enterprise technical writer will work with technical teams across the contract to elicit documentation requirements including technical details of the solutions and processes being documented, format, intended audience and appropriate level of detail; and to produce accurate and high-quality documentation that meets those requirements. Documentation includes but is not limited to standard operating procedures, user guides, presentation slides, flow charts, various types of customer reports and templates and style guides for use by other team members

  • 4 to 6 years working experience in technical writing of information security documentation.
  • Track digital and paper memos in support of the RMF process.
  • Draft and review technical standard operating procedures.
  • Support the directorates weekly activity report submissions.
  • Support inspector general response generation and review.
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation with consistent attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and accurately represent them in easily understandable text and illustrations .
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including features such as field codes, concordance files, formatting styles, named ranges and formulas, data validation and pivot tables.
  • Ability to document process flow s in activity diagrams.
  • Excellent o rganization s kills.
  • Proven p roblem s olving and a nalysis skills .
  • Ability to work individually and as a t eam member .
  • Proven s elf- i nitiative when given general direction and objectives .
  • The ideal candidate will be able to provide and discuss a writing sample in each of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Visio.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's d egree .
  • Knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework.
  • At least two years of working experience in federal agencies.


Desired Skills

  • Cyber s ecurity or other technical certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of inspector general inquiries and responses.
