Job#: 3032540 Job Description: Apex Systems is looking to hire an
Onsite Project Manager - Tooling & Industrial Equipment Procurement and Installation for our client based out of
Dublin, VA.This assignment is anticipated to be a
12-month contract with strong potential for extension. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for tooling and equipment projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, maintenance, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Source and evaluate suppliers for tooling and industrial equipment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial equipment and tooling.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements during installation.
- Validate equipment performance and handover to operations.
- Track project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and management.
- Drive continuous improvement in project execution and cost efficiency.
Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proven expertise in tooling and industrial equipment procurement and installation.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment specifications.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SAP, or similar).
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Preferred: PMP certification and experience with lean manufacturing principles.
