Senior Full Stack Java Engineer who thrives in solving complex technical challenges, modernizing enterprise applications, and delivering scalable solutions that have real business impact.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you'll collaborate with architects, product leaders, business stakeholders, and fellow engineers to design and develop mission-critical applications. You'll work across the full technology stack, leveraging
Java, Spring Boot, React, Kubernetes, Kafka, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines while contributing to application modernization and AI-enabled product capabilities.
This is an onsite opportunity in the Salt Lake City area where you'll help shape enterprise technology solutions used on scale.
What You'll Do - Design, build, test, deploy, and support highly scalable enterprise applications and intelligent digital solutions.
- Develop cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern enterprise frameworks.
- Create intuitive and responsive user experiences using React and modern JavaScript technologies.
- Design and integrate REST APIs, SOAP web services, and event-driven architectures.
- Build and support distributed systems leveraging Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging solutions.
- Implement and maintain containerized deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, and modern DevOps practices.
- Develop and support automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Maven, and related tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive system reliability improvements.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, performance optimization, and modernization initiatives.
- Contribute to AI-enabled applications, intelligent automation, and emerging technology initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices in software craftsmanship, testing, security, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications - 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot application development.
- Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, and modern front-end development practices.
- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native deployments.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, Maven, and related DevOps tools.
- Strong understanding of Apache Kafka, messaging systems, and distributed application design.
- Experience with SQL and relational database technologies.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks including OAuth and SAML.
- Strong Linux administration, scripting, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience modernizing legacy applications into cloud-native or microservices architectures.
- Exposure to or support experience with ColdFusion-based applications.
- Experience integrating Generative AI, AI-assisted workflows, or intelligent automation solutions.
- Consulting experience working directly with enterprise clients and business stakeholders.
- Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical enterprise systems.
- Proven ability to mentor developers and influence engineering best practices.
