JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Cloud Architect with strong Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) expertise to support a large-scale U.S. Air Force Cloud One program. This role will focus on designing, engineering, and supporting OCI environments while collaborating across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for architecting scalable cloud-native solutions, leading development efforts, and ensuring best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and security. The ideal candidate will operate in a multi-cloud environment supporting mission-critical systems with a focus on performance, resilience, and security.

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure OCI cloud architectures supporting enterprise and mission environments
Lead development efforts across multiple agile teams and ensure adherence to cloud engineering best practices
Architect, build, and troubleshoot cloud-native applications and infrastructure
Optimize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of Cloud One OCI environments and shared services
Develop reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards for cloud implementations
Support security assessments and remediation activities across cloud environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, security, and product management
Implement and integrate identity and access management solutions and security monitoring frameworks
Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices and automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and assess their applicability to mission needs
Technical Leadership
Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Mentor and guide engineering teams on cloud-native design and implementation
Lead architectural reviews and provide recommendations on complex technical decisions

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Experience working in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools and automation frameworks
Familiarity with federal security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, DoD Cloud SRG)
Active Secret clearance required

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DoD or Air Force cloud programs (Cloud One, Platform One, or similar)
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
Strong background in infrastructure as code and cloud automation
Experience with identity, access management, and security tooling in cloud environments
