Top Requirements:
  • 8+ years software engineering experience (Java 21/17 + Python)
  • 6+ years designing & leading REST/GraphQL API solutions
  • Hands-on experience architecting and scaling API platforms
  • Cloud engineering with Microsoft Azure + OpenShift
  • Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code (modules, policy-as-code, remote state)
  • 3+ years technical leadership / tech lead experience
  • 2+ years data center migration (on-prem cloud)
  • Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and high-throughput APIs
  • Experience with AI/ML-enabled services
  • Plusses:
  • Experience with OpenShift operators, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
  • Experience with Azure Migrate, Database Migration Service, hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute)
  • Performance engineering (JVM tuning, Python performance, SQL optimization)
  • Observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Log Analytics)
  • Advanced Terraform, Ansible, and policy-as-code (OPA/Conftest)
  • Certifications such as Azure Architect, Terraform Associate, RHCSA/RHCE, CKA/CKAD
  • Experience with CQRS, DDD, event sourcing, and advanced caching patterns
  • Job Summary:

    In this contingent resource assignment, the consultant will engage in complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact and large-scale technical planning. The role involves evaluating multi-faceted engineering challenges, designing long-term architecture, and resolving complex issues that require deep analysis of multiple technical and organizational factors. The consultant will architect, build, and scale next-generation API platforms and applications using Java (21/17), Python, Angular, and GraphQL, while driving cloud-native delivery on Microsoft Azure and Red Hat OpenShift using Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code. The engineer will lead technical execution for on-prem to cloud migration efforts and contribute to high-performance distributed systems and AI/ML-enabled services. Strategic collaboration with client teams and adherence to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are essential.
    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

    Architect and implement next-generation API platforms and distributed systems

    Design, code, test, debug, and document software across Java, Python, Angular, and GraphQL

    Lead large-scale cloud-native engineering efforts on Azure and OpenShift

    Build Terraform IaC modules and enforce engineering standards and governance

    Drive data center migration execution, including planning and cutover

    Build and optimize REST, GraphQL, and microservices-based integrations

    Ensure performance, security, reliability, and compliance across systems

    Collaborate with stakeholders, mid-level managers, and engineering peers

    Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to less experienced engineers

    Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure DevOps practices

    Implement observability, monitoring, and operational best practices

    Work with SQL Server, Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and hybrid cloud connectivity
