OverviewThis Hybrid Cloud Engineer role is part of a highly skilled team responsible for the growth, maintenance, and enhancement of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions across Linux and Windows platforms-in both cloud and on-premises environments. The position will provide Level 3 support for complex systems and applications and will partner with product and operations teams to design and implement automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, update, and enhance automation for provisioning and managing infrastructure, operating systems, and middleware components.
- Design, engineer, and maintain highly complex and secure cloud environments in Oracle Cloud (OCI) and Azure.
- Support complex systems and applications, including installation, optimization, upgrades, migrations, and long-term performance improvements.
- Serve as part of the Systems Administration team to provide installation, integration, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, security, and optimization of IT systems and components.
- Utilize tools and mechanisms to distribute software updates and ensure customers receive current and supported versions.
- Collaborate with senior staff to recommend and design system architecture and topology.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for high-level technical support.

Required Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in engineering, systems design, and documentation.
- Experience supporting large environments of Linux and Windows servers across Bare Metal, ESX, and Cloud platforms.
- Deep understanding of Windows/Linux fundamentals, including log analysis, debugging tools, and network packet capture for root-cause analysis.
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESX/ESXi/vCenter, including vSwitches, port groups, NIC teaming, bonding, VLANs, and virtual networking.
- Experience with public cloud platforms and virtualization technologies, including:
- IaaS, PaaS
- Kubernetes, Docker, Vagrant
- Azure & OCI (preferred)
- Strong experience with automation and configuration management tools:
- Infrastructure as Code (Chef, Terraform, Jenkins)
- Deployment tools (PXE Kickstart, Windows SCCM)
- Scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell preferred)
- Experience in warehouse or manufacturing automation is a plus, including PLC, conveyance systems, Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and real-time systems.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, New Relic, and streaming services like Kafka.
