Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments for the development team, and collaborating with Product Owners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of continuous improvement by tracking agile metrics and coaching the team on best practices. This hybrid position requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Ensure the team follows Agile/Scrum practices and principles consistently
- Support sprint execution, backlog refinement, and release planning
- Act as a servant leader to the development team, removing impediments and blockers impacting delivery timelines
- Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well-defined and prioritized
- Collaborate with business, technology, and cross-functional teams to align delivery goals
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership
- Drive retrospective discussions and implement actionable improvements
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning
- Track and report Agile metrics (velocity, sprint progress, burn-down charts, etc.)
- Coach team members on Agile best practices and principles
- Support Agile maturity and transformation initiatives
- Promote collaboration, self-organization, and ownership within the team
Requirements: - Strong facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to manage stakeholders and resolve conflicts
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Experience with Agile tools (JIRA etc.)
- Leadership without authority (servant leadership mindset)
Desired skills: - Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
