Position Title: Sr. Consultant - RH OpenShift on VMware
Work Location: REMOTE role and could be supporting Australia Time zone
Position Type: Contract
Pay Range: $80 - $100/hr W2
Few important details about this opportunity:
· This role follows a “follow the sun” support model, meaning the team provides 24x7 coverage. client will manage the work handoffs, coordination, and customer-side support responses.
· The work will be directed and led by client.
· The role is more focused on your ability to support the required time zone coverage rather than your physical location.
· Candidate should be comfortable with this type of work schedule and support model.
Key Responsibilities:
· Administration & Operation - Administering, deploying, and maintaining OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) on bare-metal on-premise data centers.
· Migration Strategy - Assisting with the migration of VM workloads from VMware vSphere or Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) to OpenShift Virtualization using tools like the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV).
· Automation - Using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and/or Python to automate the migration of virtual machines and related infrastructure at scale.
· Mentorship & Enablement - Acting as a subject matter expert (SME), mentoring customer teams on best practices for Day-2 operations.
· Troubleshooting - Resolving complex issues related to networking, storage, and application integration
