Job SummaryThis Software Engineer 3 role is a full stack .NET position supporting
10+ applications within Mail and Print Operations, specifically systems for
scanning and printing shipping labels. The engineer will specialize in one or two applications and participate in modernization, cloud migration, AI integration, and vulnerability remediation.
The role is heavily backend (.NET Core, SQL, APIs), with cloud/container migration responsibilities and involvement in CI/CD, Autosys scheduling, and distributed system integrations. Evening releases may occur depending on assigned applications but are not on a set schedule.
Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesBackend & API Development- Build and maintain .NET Core applications and backend services.
- Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and Web API endpoints.
- Work across modernization initiatives moving legacy apps to cloud-native/containers.
Cloud & Containerization- Develop and deploy services on OpenShift (OCP) or other cloud environments.
- Work with Docker/Kubernetes patterns for containerized workloads.
Data & Scheduling- Perform SQL development, stored procedures, and application-side data logic.
- Manage scheduled workflows using Autosys.
Integrations & Eventing- Work with Google Apigee for API gateway management (preferred).
- Use Kafka for streaming integrations where applicable.
Agile Delivery & Team Collaboration- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives.
- Work as a full member of a 12-person, US-based engineering team.
- Support vulnerability remediation and technical debt reduction.
Production Support- Potential evening release support (rotation depending on application).
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate fixes as needed.
