Job SummaryWe are seeking a Software Engineer to support the Vendure toolset within the Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) domain. This role is focused on the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, automation, and deployment of CAE-related software solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong object-oriented programming fundamentals, hands-on experience with C, C++, and Python, and a solid understanding of CAE and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) concepts. The role emphasizes DevOps best practices, collaboration with engineering stakeholders, and delivery of high-quality, scalable engineering tools.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain CAE software components, tools, and models supporting the Vendure toolset
- Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to understand technical and functional requirements and translate them into effective software solutions
- Perform problem analysis, debugging, and performance troubleshooting across CAE and simulation-based applications
- Develop automated tests and validation frameworks to ensure reliability and accuracy of CAE software outputs
- Apply DevOps best practices across the software lifecycle, including continuous integration and deployment workflows
- Push thoroughly tested modules to version-controlled environments (GitHub) and support release management activities
- Support deployment, configuration, and environment automation to improve development efficiency and software quality
- Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and process improvements within the CAE software engineering team
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Hands-on development experience with C, C++, and Python
- Working knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and methodologies
- Experience with software development best practices, including testing, debugging, and version control (Git/GitHub)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams to solve complex technical problems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
