Description
We are seeking a Moodle Developer with current, hands on Moodle experience, specifically focused on theme and plugin development, to support the launch of a new Learning Management System (LMS). This is a development focused role, working closely with the internal team to build, customize, and test the LMS during its initial build phase.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the customization and development of Moodle plugins and themes
Support the build of the LMS home page and related subpages
Configure, add, and test Moodle plugins to meet launch requirements
Work within the Moodle platform to support page configuration, layout, and functionality
Collaborate closely with internal team members to implement updates and refinements during the build phase

Requirements
Demonstrated experience in instructional design within higher education or a similar learning-focused environment.
Proficiency with Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate for developing digital learning content.
Strong understanding of instructional systems design methodologies and adult learning principles.
Experience creating instructional materials for online, hybrid, or technology-enabled courses.
Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, faculty, and cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Moodle or comparable learning management systems.
Strong written communication, organization, and project coordination skills.Required Skills & Experience

Moodle plugins
Moodle page configuration and customization
Strong understanding of Moodle on the development side, not just administrative use
Ability to support development tasks independently while collaborating with a broader team

Flexibility in working hours; does not require full daytime availability
Must be available to connect via Microsoft Teams or Zoom several times per week for:

Feedback and iteration
