Summary

Role Summary
This role focuses on advanced quality planning and new product quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading quality initiatives during product development, launch, and process changes, emphasizing risk reduction and process validation. This position requires hands-on experience with quality planning tools and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful product introductions and compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or own advanced quality planning activities for new product introductions (NPI) and major process changes.
  • Develop and drive DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection plans to identify and mitigate risks early in the product lifecycle.
  • Support validation, qualification, readiness activities, including first article inspections, PPAPs, and launch quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to define critical-to-quality characteristics and process controls.
  • Manage quality documentation and ensure compliance with launch and production readiness requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce design and process risks through proactive quality planning and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review quality deliverables, risk mitigation actions, and validation results.
  • Monitor and report on quality performance metrics related to new product launches and ensuring defect prevention.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality planning and launch processes.
  • Assist in establishing standardized procedures and best practices for quality assurance during product development and manufacturing ramp up.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in advanced quality planning, new product development, or related quality engineering roles.
  • Proven experience leading DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection plans in a manufacturing setting.
  • Hands-on experience supporting or leading validation, first article inspections, and launch quality deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment tools, quality standards, and failure mode analysis.
  • Experience working with suppliers, especially in supplier quality or supplier parts integration, is a plus.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid environment with flexible schedule management.

Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 - $58.00 Hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
