Description
We are looking for a Director of IT to lead and transform the technology operations of our organization in Orlando, Florida. This role is pivotal in setting the strategic direction for IT, overseeing modernization efforts, and ensuring technology aligns seamlessly with business objectives. The ideal candidate will provide visionary leadership, prioritize system improvements, and build a high-performing IT team from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
Evaluate outdated systems, applications, and tools to determine modernization priorities.
Consolidate and streamline technology solutions, eliminating redundant software subscriptions.
Oversee the migration to cloud-based platforms and optimize the Azure environment.
Guide the adoption of AI tools to enhance workflows and operational efficiency.
Establish policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across IT operations.
Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate technology goals and provide actionable recommendations.
Build and lead an IT team, providing mentorship and ensuring effective cross-departmental collaboration.
Monitor and improve system performance, addressing user feedback to enhance overall functionality.
Manage cybersecurity, risk assessment, and data governance initiatives to protect organizational assets.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic technology plans.
Strong expertise in cloud computing, enterprise applications, and system modernization.
Experience in consolidating tools and optimizing IT environments.
Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and drive measurable change.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to build and lead an IT organization from scratch, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
