We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer with a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), business analysis, API development, database design, and web application development.
The candidate will work with business stakeholders and technical teams to design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain healthcare software applications. Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and healthcare data exchange standards such as EDI X12 and FHIR are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform business analysis, data modeling, process analysis, and solution design.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C#,, .NET APIs, and related Microsoft technologies.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and support front-end and back-end application integration.
- Build and maintain responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, and React where applicable.
- Design, develop, and optimize relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Apply relational database design principles, normalization, data modeling, and query optimization techniques.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain web applications using Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Use Azure DevOps for source control, work item tracking, build pipelines, release management, and development collaboration.
- Develop and maintain console applications, batch-processing programs, and scheduled jobs.
- Support healthcare system integrations using EDI X12 transaction sets and FHIR-based data exchange.
- Troubleshoot software defects, investigate production issues, and implement reliable solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, test plans, deployment instructions, and system specifications.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, project management, business analysis, and operations teams.
- Follow established coding standards, security practices, data privacy requirements, and software development best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Experience with SQL Server and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and relational database design.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar development and project management tools.
- Understanding of business analysis, requirements gathering, and data modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience developing or supporting healthcare IT applications.
- Familiarity with healthcare data exchange standards, including EDI X12 and FHIR.
- Experience integrating healthcare systems, databases, and third-party APIs.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows, pharmacy systems, prescription processing, claims, or healthcare data management.
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications in IIS.
- Experience developing console applications, batch jobs, and scheduled processes.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and healthcare data privacy requirements.
- Experience with React and modern front-end development practices.
