Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams for pension-related initiatives.
Analyze current workflows and develop comprehensive As-Is and To-Be process documentation.
Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and system requirements for pension administration systems.
Develop BRDs, FRDs, Use Cases, User Stories, and Process Diagrams using tools like MS Visio.
Facilitate JAD sessions, stakeholder workshops, and UAT testing for new releases.
Support QA, define test plans, and track defect resolution.
Ensure improvements align with agency objectives for member benefits processing, retirement calculations, and workflow automation.
Work with project managers to plan milestones and manage scope across multiple concurrent projects.
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within IT / systems projects.
Proven experience with SDLC (Waterfall and/or Agile) methodologies.
Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
Ability to analyze and improve processes related to benefits, eligibility, payroll integration, or data migration.
Hands-on experience in Pension, Retirement, or Benefits Administration Systems.
Knowledge of mainframe environments, workflow development, or automation tools.
Familiarity with data modeling, SQL, or system integration testing.
Experience handling production support and diagnosing functional issues.
Local candidates only (onsite interviews required).
Must be available to work two days per week onsite at the Brooklyn, NY office.
40-hour work week; no overtime allowed.
