Job#: 3033827 Job Description: Mid-level Adobe Experience Manager Developer (Forms)OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer to support the modernization of digital forms and client-facing experiences. This role will focus on building and enhancing Adaptive Web Forms using AEM Forms, as well as contributing to improvements in development pipelines and delivery efficiency.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in AEM, hands-on experience with form lifecycle development, and familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain Adaptive Web Forms using AEM Forms and core components
- Manage the full form lifecycle, including UI development, submission handling, backend integration, and Document of Record (DoR)
- Build and define APIs to support form submissions and integrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance development pipelines and deployment processes
- Develop and maintain custom scripts and functionality using JavaScript and AEM tools (Rule Editor, Theme Editor, FDM)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AEM, including SAML authentication and OSGi bundles
- Support code upgrades, component updates, and deployments using package management tools
- Work with AEM Dispatcher in forms-driven environments
- Apply automated testing practices for Adaptive Forms where applicable
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity across coding, testing, and debugging tasks
- Contribute to best practices for AI-assisted development, including prompt engineering and spec-driven workflows
- Participate in CI/CD processes using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, or Bitbucket
Required Qualifications- 3-5 years of experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (on-premise environments)
- Hands-on experience with AEM Forms and Adaptive Web Forms in a headless or component-based architecture
- Experience with:
- Rule Editor, Theme Editor, and Forms Data Model (FDM)
- Custom JavaScript development
- End-to-end form lifecycle implementation
- Strong understanding of core AEM concepts, including API development and integrations
- Front-end development skills (HTML, JSP, JavaScript, and build tools such as NPM/Webpack)
- Experience with code promotion, upgrades, and component deployments
- Knowledge of troubleshooting AEM environments (SAML, OSGi, Dispatcher)
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket)
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants and their use across development workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
- Understanding of modern development practices such as spec-driven development, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted workflows
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with headless content delivery architectures
- Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks and technologies such as Angular, React, TypeScript, CSS, and Bootstrap
- Experience working with web/application servers (e.g., JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, Apache)
- Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems (WCMS)
- Experience implementing automated testing strategies for forms and front-end applications
Nice-to-Have Skills- Exposure to agentic workflows and AI-driven development practices
- Ability to define structured specifications from technical design artifacts for AI-assisted implementation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
