Position OverviewThis role supports a growing portfolio of in-building wireless projects over the coming
years, including the construction, maintenance, and long-term support of distributed antenna systems (DAS) and related low-voltage infrastructure.
Projects span a wide range of environments such as government facilities, educational campuses, healthcare systems, transportation hubs, and large public
venues. The DAS Maintenance Technician will provide
post-deployment (Day-2) support, including monitoring, troubleshooting, warranty/RMA
work, and ongoing maintenance of both new and legacy DAS networks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform DAS system maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Support warranty and RMA activities
- Maintain and service legacy DAS infrastructure
- Work across large campuses, stadiums, commercial buildings, and public-safety environments
- Support new builds and existing facilities, including hospitals, schools, and large venues
- Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 6-8 weeks
Technical Requirements- Strong experience with DAS maintenance and support
- OEM familiarity preferred (e.g., JMA, Corning, Comba, CommScope)
- Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience required
- Tools may include Fluke, AFL, and OTDR
- Fiber scoping and single-mode fiber splicing experience required
- Experience with coax, fiber, public-safety DAS, ODAS/IDAS, and low-voltage systems
Travel & Work Conditions- Home-based in an assigned regional market
- Must be open to regional travel, including overnight stays (up to four nights at a time)
- Company vehicle provided for travel
- Hotel accommodations covered
- Daily per diem provided
- Weekend travel return when applicable
Schedule & Employment Details- Standard 40-hour work week
- Overtime opportunities available
- Long-term full-time opportunity
- Contract-to-hire structure (approximately 6 months) with a strong history of conversion to permanent employment
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
