Position Overview

SNI Technology is recruiting for a Senior Vice President of Cyber Security on behalf of a financial services organization with a national footprint. This executive role reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for defining, executing, and evolving the enterprise-wide cybersecurity vision, strategy, and roadmap.

The SVP of Cyber Security will safeguard digital assets, data, and infrastructure against evolving threats while enabling business growth and resilience. This leader will oversee cybersecurity operations, manage strategic vendor relationships, and collaborate closely with executive leadership to align security initiatives with organizational objectives.

Strategic Leadership & Governance

Define and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board on cyber risk, threat landscape, and regulatory compliance.
Drive transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment across the security portfolio.
Partner closely with the CIO, technology leaders, and lines of business to support enterprise initiatives.
Promote a high-performance, growth-oriented security culture focused on quality, scalability, and velocity.
Advance the organization's cybersecurity maturity model across people, process, and technology.

Risk Management & Compliance

Lead enterprise risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management programs.
Ensure compliance with industry frameworks and regulations, including ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
Manage relationships with Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response, and Threat Intelligence partners.
Drive continuous improvement in security architecture, identity and access management, and data protection.
Collaborate with enterprise risk teams on emerging threats and evolving risk mitigation strategies.

Innovation, Transformation & Team Leadership

Champion adoption of modern security technologies, including AI-driven threat detection, Zero Trust architecture, and cloud security.
Embed security into digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing cybersecurity organization.
Establish and promote enterprise-wide security awareness and training programs.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders and executive sponsors.
Deliver clear, actionable reporting on security posture, risks, ROI, and program performance.
Provide regular automated reporting on phishing metrics, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and overall security health.

Required Experience & Skills

Strong background in financial services or mortgage industry environments (highly preferred).
Deep, hands-on experience implementing and operating NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) within resilient enterprises.
Experience governing highly technical platforms, including AI, automation, and advanced infrastructure.
Proven success supporting a global employee base.
Track record of building and executing effective enterprise security awareness programs.
Hands-on infrastructure experience across on-prem and cloud environments; Azure cloud experience strongly preferred.
Expertise in cloud security, IAM, network security, and data protection.
Ability to clearly communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
15+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years at the Director level or higher.
Demonstrated success leading global security programs for large, complex organizations.
Proven experience implementing NIST CSF.
At least one recognized security certification:
- CISSP
- CISM
- CISA
- Additional executive-level or cloud security certifications preferred
