Summary

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Oracle FDI Implementation Consultant to take full ownership of our data intelligence journey. This is not a "support" or "maintenance" role. You will be the primary subject matter expert responsible for the end-to-end strategy, setup, and deployment of the Oracle FDI platform from the ground up.

As the internal team has limited FDI experience, the successful candidate must possess the seniority to work independently, make high-level architectural decisions, and execute the technical configuration without external guidance.

Note: We are specifically looking for professionals who have led solo implementations. If you have only been a member of a larger implementation team, this role is not the right fit.

Core Responsibilities

< class="" data-path-to-node="10">1. End-to-End Platform Setup
  • Greenfield Implementation: Stand up Oracle FDI from scratch (Provisioning Dev/Test/Prod environments).

  • Initial Configuration: Own the setup of calendars, Chart of Accounts (COA), currencies, and scenarios prior to the first data load.

  • Architecture Strategy: Evaluate and decide between FDI-native pipelines versus external integrations based on our specific business needs.

< class="" data-path-to-node="12">2. Metadata & Master Data Management
  • Alignment: Align ERP COA and hierarchies to FDI conformed dimensions.

  • Complex Mapping: Manage mid-year master data changes and resolve fiscal vs. calendar mismatches without disrupting history or the financial close.

  • Governance: Establish robust change control processes for hierarchies and dimensions.

< class="" data-path-to-node="14">3. Integration & Data Flow
  • Oracle Ecosystem: Independently configure the integration between Oracle ERP Cloud and FDI.

  • EPM Connectivity: Manage data pushes from FDI into Oracle EPM modules (Planning/PBCS, ARCS, and PCM).

  • Multi-Source Handling: Support and architect multi-ledger or multi-ERP integrations.

< class="" data-path-to-node="16">4. Data Quality & Compliance
  • Reconciliation: Build automated quality checks (counts, balances, variances) to reconcile FDI data back to ERP and EPM.

  • Security: Design and implement role-based and row-level security to ensure data privacy and compliance.

  • Exception Handling: Create sophisticated workflows for failed or partial data loads.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven Autonomy: Must demonstrate at least one (preferably multiple) full-lifecycle Oracle FDI implementations where you were the lead/sole implementer.

  • Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on experience in source -- staging -- conformed mapping layers.

  • Functional Expertise: Strong understanding of financial close processes and how ERP data translates into actionable analytics.

  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical architectures into clear business logic for stakeholders with limited FDI knowledge.
