Job Title: Senior Oracle DBA / Cloud Migration

Location- Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Oracle DBA with strong cloud migration experience to manage, optimize, and modernize Oracle database environments. This role focuses on migrating on-premises databases to cloud platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute Oracle database migrations to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases in on-prem and cloud environments
Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
Optimize database performance, tuning, and query optimization
Ensure high availability using RAC, Data Guard, and backup/recovery strategies
Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Automate DBA tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, etc.)
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams
Ensure database security, compliance, and access controls
Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience as an Oracle DBA (10g/11g/12c/19c or later)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Proven experience in database migration projects (on-prem to cloud)
Expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and performance tuning
Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Experience with Linux/Unix environments
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar)
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-native database services (Autonomous DB, RDS, etc.)
Knowledge of database modernization strategies (re-platforming, re-architecture)
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Oracle certifications (OCP, OCI Architect, etc.)
Experience with tools like Oracle GoldenGate, Data Pump, or migration services

High-performance and highly available Oracle environments
Automated and optimized database operations
