Summary

Project Overview

 

The client is seeking a Senior Product Manager to support the Security Engineering team within the IT division. The team focuses on strategy, design, deployment, and maintenance of security solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog for security engineering initiatives including:

  • Cloud Security

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Security tooling & automation

  • Customer support systems

  • Gather and synthesize requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Translate regulatory, policy, and business needs into product requirements and user stories

  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps for security engineering tools

  • Balance short-term priorities with long-term strategy

  • Drive improvements in efficiency and risk reduction

  • Ensure stakeholder communication, alignment, and transparency

  • Measure outcomes and drive continuous improvement

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience

  • 4+ years working with Security Engineering teams

Strong experience with:

  • Backlog management & roadmap delivery

  • Agile methodologies

  • Cross-functional collaboration

  • Technical Expertise

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Network Security Design

  • Security Operations & Architecture

  • Cloud Security

  • Data Loss Prevention

  • Zero Trust Architecture

  • DevSecOps

  • Vulnerability Management

  • Additional Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in a security domain (SME mindset)

  • Experience with automation and process optimization

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to simplify complex security concepts for different audiences

  • Federal & Compliance Knowledge

  • Experience working with federal environments

  •  

Knowledge of:

  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework

  • NIST SP 800-53

  • OMB Memorandum M-22-09

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience working in Agile environments

  • Strong experience with engineering teams and enterprise architects

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and processes
