Job#: 3025265 Job Description: Databricks Developer (Remote)The Databricks Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and cloud-based data services. This role supports ongoing modernization and data engineering initiatives by building reliable data workflows, optimizing performance, and enabling cross-team collaboration.
Job Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake).
- Build and maintain Databricks notebooks, workflows, and jobs to support evolving data engineering needs.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement and maintain data models, Delta Lake tables, and cloud-based storage structures.
- Ensure security, compliance, and proper access controls within the data environment.
- Troubleshoot and debug Databricks-related issues, providing timely resolutions.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Databricks development
- Proficiency with PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake
- Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Understanding of data modeling, distributed computing, and data warehousing concepts
- Version control and DevOps experience (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Databricks Workflows or similar orchestration tools
- Experience creating visualizations using Power BI or similar tools
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and/or Microsoft 365 governance
