PL/SQL Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our enterprise data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database development, SQL optimization, ETL processes, and data integration. This role involves designing scalable database solutions, developing high-performance PL/SQL code, supporting data migration initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions for business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to support high-volume transactional and reporting systems.
• Build and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems.
• Participate in database design, data modeling, and schema enhancements based on business requirements.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning using Oracle performance analysis tools.
• Develop data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Support database migration and modernization initiatives involving Oracle and SQL Server environments.
• Work closely with business analysts, application developers, and DBAs to implement scalable database solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment scripts, and support release activities.
• Follow development standards, version control, and change management processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in Oracle database development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience developing complex stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers.
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
• Experience with ETL development and data integration.
• Knowledge of SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica IDMC.
• Knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience with SQL Server databases and migration projects.
• Familiarity with Tableau or other BI reporting tools.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Banking or Financial Services domain experience is a plus.
