Category Leader - MRO & Capital Equipment

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is seeking an experienced Category Leader to lead global sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) and Capital Equipment spend across multiple business units. This individual will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier performance, deliver cost savings, and serve as a key procurement partner to operations and business stakeholders worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead global category strategy for MRO and Capital Equipment spend
* Manage supplier selection, RFx development, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution
* Drive cost savings and total cost of ownership improvements across the supply base
* Lead agreement renewals and establish new supplier contracts to support business needs
* Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives
* Evaluate demand management opportunities and identify process improvements to maximize spend efficiency
* Support project timelines, budgets, and procurement-related deliverables

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Operations, or a related field
* 10+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience
* 5+ years focused on MRO purchasing and category management
* Proven track record leading complex supplier negotiations and managing commercial contracts
* Experience developing and executing RFx processes and supplier selection strategies
* Strong understanding of contract terms, commercial risk, and domestic/international procurement practices
* Experience with supplier management and contract management systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
