Job Description:
Product Manager, MarTech

Location: Memphis, TN

Role Overview

This employer is seeking an experienced Product Manager with a strong MarTech background to support a major modernization initiative. The immediate need is for a highly execution-focused professional who can step into an active environment, quickly understand existing priorities, and deliver value from day one. The team is currently managing an implementation and migration involving SAP Engagement Cloud and SAP Customer Data Platform, which has created a backlog of additional projects. This position focuses on hands-on execution, including writing requirements, managing and refining the backlog, and coordinating with stakeholders and development partners to drive delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a hands-on Product Manager for MarTech initiatives, focusing initially on the SAP Customer Data Platform and Engagement Cloud implementation.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are clearly defined and aligned with business needs and project milestones.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed product and technical specifications for engineering teams.
  • Write and refine features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting product documentation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, Scrum leadership, and external development partners to drive initiatives through execution.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and bottlenecks within existing workflows and facilitate resolution.
  • Bridge communication and execution gaps between business product teams and IT engineering.
  • Apply an Agile delivery mindset to improve backlog refinement, prioritization, and accountability.
  • Support the broader MarTech modernization effort, including initiatives associated with transitioning managed services to an internally managed model.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Demonstrated experience operating as a hands-on, execution-focused Product Manager within a MarTech, digital marketing, customer data, or marketing technology environment.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in product backlog management, requirements gathering, user story development, acceptance criteria definition, and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP Customer Data Platform (CDP) or SAP Engagement Cloud.
  • Experience supporting large-scale MarTech modernization, technology in-housing, or service transition initiatives.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology managed-service environments and working with outsourced development partners.
