Senior Data Engineer (AWS / Databricks)OverviewWe are partnering with a growing organization that is building out a modern, cloud-based data platform. They are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in designing and scaling data solutions, with a strong focus on AWS and Databricks.
This role offers the opportunity to work in an evolving environment, contribute to architectural decisions, and help drive the adoption of modern data engineering practices.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines in AWS
- Work with Databricks to support data processing and analytics use cases
- Contribute to the development of a modern data architecture (data lake/lakehouse)
- Integrate data from multiple sources and support new data initiatives
- Improve performance, reliability, and efficiency of data workflows
- Collaborate with analytics, business, and technical teams to deliver data solutions
- Help establish best practices around data engineering, deployment, and data quality
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Strong experience with AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Athena, or similar)
- Experience working with Databricks
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data models
- Understanding of modern data architecture concepts (data lakes, lakehouse, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to Have- Experience with streaming or real-time data technologies
- Exposure to machine learning or data science workflows
- Experience with data governance, cataloging, or data quality tools
