Job Title: Research Analyst
Client Location : NYC, NY- primarily remote, with a potential office visit once per month

THE ROLE: Senior Research Analyst, Research Solutions
The Sr. Business Analyst, Research Solutions will be responsible for analysing and documenting user requirements, problem solving, application support, and project management efforts to offer new solutions and/or enhancements to customers, to automate processing and/or to improve existing business processes and associated information systems for the A+E Research business team. The Sr. Business Analyst, Research Solutions will work closely with the Research client users and IT solution delivery team in providing system solutions for Linear and Digital Ad Sales and Programming Research.

Business Analysis
- Gathers and provides analysis of business requirements, use cases, processes and workflows with suggestions for improvement. Identifies areas where technology, development of new systems or enhancements to existing systems and/or integration solutions can lead to increased efficiency and productivity.
- Leads design discussions and identifies design options. Provides mock-ups of user interface. Collaborates with business and technical development teams on solution designs.
- Develops test schedules, reviews testing plans, tracks and documents the development and results of these plans.
- Provides user documentation for the system. Creates curriculum and provides classes for user training.
Project Management
- Ensure that programs, initiatives & projects are delivered on time. Manage risks appropriately & plan proactive mitigation.
- Regular status reporting, including but not limited to project & support status, to IT leadership and business stakeholders.
- Alerts manager to potential risks and issues of importance
Application Support
- Work closely with development team in application support of current systems.
- Ensure that repeat defects, break fixes are minimized & focus on analysis of issues and provide recommendation for avoiding common defects.

- Undergraduate degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field
- 5+ years of IT Business Analysis; 1-2 years of Project Management experience
- Knowledge of Research systems from Nielsen and StarMedia; understanding of Media Math and ratings terminology (i.e. MIT, AMRLD, etc.…).
- Hands on experience with SQL, Snowflake, Databricks and understanding of database methodologies.
- Hands on experience with Domo, Power BI and Tableau Analytics tools.
- Experience with API-driven automation, scripting, or workflow automation tools
- Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; ability to write user stories and define acceptance criteria.
- Excellent analytical communication (both verbal and written), facilitation/organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Excellent understanding of project management principles and experience in managing multiple projects.
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to apply technological solutions to solve business problems.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels.

- Being able to question, evaluate and make decisions on technology platforms.
Desired:
- Experience working with Research and Social Media analytics.
- Experience with AWS technologies and defining API requirements and system integration patterns.
- Experience identifying and translating business use cases into AI/ML or GenAI-enabled solutions; understanding of AI lifecycle and governance principles is a plus.
- Understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence related Reporting Tools, Visualization, Analytics, Dashboards, KPIs, Scorecards, Modeling and Predictive Analysis through tools and technologies, such as, Microsoft Business Intelligence and Tableau.
