Quality Engineer

Plano, TX 75023 (Onsite)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to support post-launch quality and sustaining engineering activities for wireless telecommunications products. This role will be responsible for driving issue resolution, improving quality processes, managing customer-reported concerns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience in quality engineering, wireless telecommunications, product lifecycle support, and customer-facing issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage quality and sustaining activities for commercialized products.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams to track, prioritize, and resolve product issues.
  • Investigate product failures, software defects, design concerns, and accessory-related issues.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Develop and implement sustaining engineering processes and quality procedures.
  • Monitor product performance using project management tools and reporting methods.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and customer organizations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, or Wireless Telecommunications.
  • Experience establishing and improving quality or sustaining engineering processes.
  • Background supporting OEM handset/mobile device products.
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies, including GSM and/or CDMA.
  • Experience investigating and resolving customer-reported technical issues.
  • Strong project coordination and product management skills.

  • Experience working with global product teams and customers.
  • Prior experience supporting consumer electronics or mobile device products.

Additional Information
  • Up to 30% travel may be required.
  • Occasional work outside standard business hours may be necessary based on project demands.
