Summary

Overview:
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Rockford is looking for self-motivated, outgoing, professional leaders. This position oversees and is responsible for managing a retail location within the park and leading the team within that location. Guest first service is expected and is to be championed throughout the department. The position requires leading and motivating a specific location to achieve financial and service goals. Responsibilities include restocking displays with new merchandise in the retail store and selling new uniforms via a POS system. Management must maintain a clean, organized work area by effectively operating their units to meet service standards. Training to respective team members should continuously occur throughout the season. This position requires someone who is a self-starter and initiates projects without constant supervision.

Responsibilities:
Interact and support guests and fellow team members on a daily basis
Ensure retail store displays are restocked, cleaned and organized before opening each day
Communicate any special item promotions to team members and ensure proper signage is on display
Notify the IPS Manager of any items that are running low on inventory (i.e.: uniforms, drinks, ice cream, chips)
Sell uniforms to all departments via a POS throughout the season as needed
Complete all refund transactions as outlined by the Six Flags Refund Policy
Maintain a safe work environment and aid in the elimination of hazards
Follow and record all inventory control functions including damages on a daily basis
Investigate any recorded items that are showing a negative quantity on-hand
Inspect any new merchandise for damages before receiving in the inventory tracking system
Ensure all team members are correctly using EAS and are following EAS policies regarding accurate clock in/out
times and break guidelines
Complete Seasonal Evaluations
Assist in facilitating rehire/new hire department training sessions
Provide corrective action as needed, train and provide feedback to team members
Ensure team is following all policies and procedures by continuously training and providing feedback to team
members and leads

Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old
Must be available weekends, evenings, and holidays
Work Season: Mid-April - Early October (Work available during this range, can be flexible for school)
Must be professional, self-motivated, and have an enthusiastic attitude
Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
Able to be self-motivated and work independently with little assistance
Must be able to stand and walk for up to 6 hours at a time
