Role: Data Center Technician – L1/L2

Location: Reno, NV

Work Mode: Onsite (4 Days x 10 Hours)

We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to support server and network equipment installation, testing, cabling, and hardware preparation in a data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Move and position servers and switches for installation.
• Inspect equipment for physical damage and verify hardware condition.
• Perform smoke testing to confirm server functionality.
• Install servers, switches, and network cabling according to provided wire maps.
• Maintain clean and organized cable management in accordance with data center standards.
• Coordinate with Network Administrators to verify cabling, connectivity, and port status.
• Install and replace hardware components, including NICs, drives, and memory.
• Unbox, stage, and prepare servers and equipment for deployment.
• Perform server and consumables audits and maintain accurate equipment records.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Data Center Technician or Server Technician experience.
• Hands-on experience with servers, switches, hardware installation, and structured cabling.
• Knowledge of wire maps, cable management, and network connectivity.
• Experience installing NICs, drives, and memory.
• Strong hardware inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and auditing skills.
• Ability to work onsite during a day shift in Reno, NV.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established data center standards.
