Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid

Pay Rate: $70/hr - $74/hr 1099 or corp to corp

We are seeking an experienced Sr Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead complex technology initiatives across digital platforms and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional teams, drive end-to-end delivery, and align business objectives with technology outcomes through effective use of Agile and Waterfall methodologies . This role requires a hands-on leader who excels at planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the project plan and cross-functional dependency tracker, ensuring delivery milestones are aligned across product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Ownersto refine product scope, gather requirements, and maintain alignment with business priorities.
  • Define and oversee instance and environment strategiesin coordination with IT teams to ensure successful releases.
  • Partner with the PMO to maintain a comprehensive RAID log, actively managing risks, issues, actions, and dependencies throughout all phases.
  • Manage and optimize Azure DevOps boards, keeping tasks and user stories current while promoting effective collaboration across global technology teams.
  • Lead key Agile ceremonies-sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews-to foster continuous improvement and adaptability.
  • Apply Waterfall principlesfor structured project delivery and governance in large-scale or compliance-driven initiatives; define milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Champion a hybrid delivery approach, selecting the most effective methodology based on project complexity and stakeholder needs.
  • Oversee the QA testing process, managing test execution, defect triage, and resolution coordination across development and QA teams.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)and ensure timely closure of bugs and issues, validating deliverables against defined acceptance criteria.
  • Provide comprehensive stakeholder communications-including status reports, risk summaries, progress dashboards, and release timelines-to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Manage end-to-end go-live activities, from deployment preparation to post-launch stabilization, in partnership with Release Management and Technical Leadership.
  • Support Hypercare operationsby monitoring open IT items, ensuring quick resolution, and maintaining proactive communication with business teams.
  • Ensure all project deliverables, approvals, and sign-offs meet organizational governanceand TIcompliance standards.
  • Drive performance analytics using Agile metrics (velocity, sprint completion rate)and Waterfall tracking indicators (milestone progress, critical path achievement).
  • Mentor team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices, fostering collaboration and iterative delivery across technical and business functions.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager
  • Agile/Scrum Experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
